Mindhelp’s Supported Independent Living (SIL) services empower participants to build independence with 24/7 tailored support. Our experienced, PBS-informed team works closely with Behaviour Support Plans to ensure all care is ethical, safe, and capacity-building.

We assist individuals with psychosocial, neurodevelopmental, and physical disabilities from Autism and schizophrenia to cerebral palsy, ABI, and spinal injuries.

Mindhelp provides Supported Independent Living and disability support worker services across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs and the Geelong region. Occupational Therapy services are available in Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs only. For SIL supports outside these areas, please contact Mindhelp to discuss availability.

Yes. Mindhelp supports children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Service delivery is tailored to the developmental stage, goals and clinical needs of each individual.

Yes. Mindhelp specialises in mental health and disability supports and has extensive experience with individuals who require higher levels of structure, behavioural support, medication oversight or psychosocial support.

Mindhelp is a registered NDIS provider with audited policies and procedures that meet NDIS Practice Standards. The organisation maintains strong clinical governance, incident management and a robust quality improvement framework.

Referrals can be submitted through the website, emailed to info@mindhelp.org.au or made by phone. Support coordinators, participants and families receive prompt confirmation and timely follow up from the intake team.

Mindhelp maintains prioritised appointment slots for referrals that involve safety concerns, mental health deterioration or housing instability. Support coordinators can flag urgency during referral.

Mindhelp Occupational Therapists provide assessment and therapy focused on improving independence, functional capacity and daily living skills. This includes Functional Capacity Assessments, recommendations for assistive technology, home modifications, skill building programs, sensory and environmental assessments, mental health focused OT intervention and reports required for NDIS planning and review. Ongoing therapy supports participants to develop routines and increase safety and confidence at home and in the community.

Mindhelp considers gender preference, experience, cultural factors, communication style and the complexity of support. Participants are encouraged to provide feedback if they would like a change.

Yes. Support workers assist participants to engage in community activities, appointments, recreation and skill development in line with their goals.

Mindhelp provides clear and timely updates. Staff record daily notes that reflect progress, risks and any changes in presentation. Mindhelp also attends care team meetings and case conferences when required to ensure consistent communication and coordination of supports.
